Londoner's weekend spot: Bournemouth

When you live in London there is a plethora of options for going away for the weekend without leaving the British Isles. One idea is to go down to Bournemouth in Dorset, roughly 2 hours drive down to the coast. Although the city centre isn't particularly interesting, you have got a huge sandy beaches to enjoy. The shore breaks are pretty popular with surfers, wind and kite surfers.

I would recommend walking to Mudeford Quays, almost by Christcurch. The tiny stretch of sand between river and sea is home of loads of cute little beach huts facing the Needles at the western tip of the Isle of Wight. Nice spot for a swim with a view!

Maybe you mean you enjoyed the view nicely sitting on sand and then you had a quick (braveheart) swim, just thinkink of a nice cup of tea, no more view just hot tea!

L'eau n'est vraiment pas si froide que ca: compare cela avec les plages oceanes des Landes en Juin... il faut attendre le mois d'Aout pour que cela monte a 18 si tu te rappelles. :)
